Brunhild by Erulian Brunhild by Erulian
Welcome back my friends to another character in my Valkyrie series : Brunhild or Brynhildr.

Brunhild is one of the valkyries who Wotan initially commissions to protect Siegmund, his son by a mortal mother. When Fricka protests and forces Wotan to have Siegmund die, Brunhild disobeys her father's change of orders and takes away Siegmund's wife (and sister) Sieglinde and the shards of Siegmund's sword, Nothung. She manages to hide them, but must then face the wrath of her father who is determined to make her mortal and put her into an enchanted sleep to be claimed by any man who happens across her. Brunhild argues that what she did was in obeyance of the god's true will and does not deserve such a fate. He is eventually persuaded to protect her sleep with magical fire, sentencing her to await awakening by a hero who does not know fear.......

Enjoy and Render On.....

Beautiful, powerful and very attentive to what is going on around her. I like the pose and that you gave her some weapons instead of leaving her "helpless", waiting for her hero. The color scheme works very well for her and I like the way that the fire reflects off the metal that she has. Her eyes are very intense. Her shield arm appears to be a bit thin but that may simply be a trick of the light. I love the way her hair fans out behind her. Since it's not blowing straight back, it gives the appearance/suggestion of magic.

Apologies that this isn't as in-depth as my normal ones but life is pretty crazy right now. Thank you very much for sharing this and it is a pleasure to see your work. :)
