This is my entry to the "Create and Imagine" contest held by EmmaAlvarez : [link] which can be found here: [link]

I received an invitation from Emma to submit to the contest and when I viewed the theme it inspired me to at least 4 different images. Unfortunately only one submission per artist is allowed, so I decided to submit this one. I know that background is perfect for yet another fairy image and many other entries used it that way. However, I am not a big fan of cute fairy things, so I wanted to show a scene in a time where such environments are just memories long gone, put up on a wall. But dreams, hopes and ideas cannot be stopped and there will always be a resistance as long as mankind has feelings, emotions and a heart.

Almost a statement on modern life, the tragic difference between the perfect utopia we all dream of and the harsh reality of the world today. I could say so many good things about this image but it speaks so well for itself, a book could be written based on this scene, there's so much tension, tragedy and human struggle packed into it. So imaginative, I really hope the contest judges appreciate your creative twist on the theme. Good luck in the contest!

Thanks a lot... I doubt it will get anywhere in the contest, its not really a mainstream image, but I had great fun in making it and to take a different view at what was given as a basis. 8-)

Maybe the fact that it's not mainstream will get you some attention :) I like the fact that as you said you took a really different view then what I also expect people will do. It's always nice to see people "thinking outside of the box".
